Protect Yourself from Recreational Water Illnesses and Stay HOT!

Healthy Bathing Tips
Hot Tub Users Advice: Protect Yourself from Recreational
Water Illnesses and Stay HOT!
tub rules for safe and healthy use.

Refrain from entering a hot tub when you have diarrhea.
Avoid swallowing hot tub water or even getting it into your mouth.
Shower or bathe with soap before entering the hot tub.
Observe limits, if posted, on the maximum allowable number of bathers.
Exclude children less than 5 years of age from using hot tubs.
Avoid drinking alcohol before entering the hot tub or during hot tub use.
If pregnant, consult a physician before hot tub use, particularly in the first trimester.

Observe...and listen to the hot tub and its surroundings. What should you notice?

No odor; a well - chlorinated hot tub has little odor. A strong chemical smell indicates a maintenance problem.
Smooth hot tub sides; tiles should not be sticky or slippery.
Hot tub equipment is working; pumps and filtration systems make noise and you should hear them running.
Hot tub temperature; the water temperature should not exceed 104 ̊F (40 ̊C).
Check the hot tub water; test for adequate free chlorine (2–4 parts per million or ppm)
or bromine (4–6 ppm) and pH (7.2–7.8) levels. You can safely practice using hot tub disinfectant test strips. They are available at Vaniado Home Deco stores.

Call Vaniado and talk to us.

What was the health inspector’s grade for the hot tub after its last inspection?
Are chlorine and pH levels checked at least twice per day?
Are these levels checked during times when the hot tub is most heavily used?
Are trained operation staffs available during the weekends when the hot tub is most heavily used?
What specialized training did the staff take to prepare for working at or operating a hot tub?

Managing Your Bathroom on a Regular Basis in Fifteen Minutes

Bathrooms need to be cleaned often. And unlike other rooms in your home, they cannot be just “picked up” and still be considered clean. ‘Cleanliness is next to Godliness.’ So you can maintain the cleanliness of your bathroom without spending hours scrubbing and disinfecting. Teach your children the requirements of a clean bathroom without laboring all day.  Having the supplies all together at the beginning of the job is essential to avoiding distractions. Running downstairs to grab the broom, might make you wonder if the mail has come yet. When you check the mail you decide to file some of it. A letter reminds you to call a family member. Before you know it the bathroom is the last thing on your mind. Stay focused on one specific task in the house at a time. Consider doing the following:

Grab All the Necessary Supplies to Wipe Down the Sink and Tub Area
o  Antibacterial Cleaners
o  Best Disposable Gloves
o  Top Cleaning Wipes
o  Clean a Faucet
o  Clean a Sink
Our goal here is to get the sink and tub presentable. Casually wipe down the tub. You may need to spend more time on the sink. Wear disposable gloves to protect your skin and help you clean without worrying about what you touch.
Use a Toilet Brush and Toilet Cleaner To Briefly Scrub Out the Inside of the Toilet
Again this is not a full out scrubbing of the toilet. We are maintaining from the last time we scrubbed, or quickly getting it presentable enough for unexpected guests.
Use a Disinfectant Wipe To Wipe down The Outside of the Toilet
Using the wipe won't take long to briefly run over the outer surface of the toilet. You can quickly wipe away the most obvious dirt.
Use a Glass Cleaner or Vinegar to Wipe Down the Mirror
You can put a little time into this task even when you’re in a hurry. Guests will probably spend some time examining themselves in your mirror. They will inevitably notice dinginess and streaks.
Pickup All the Items Belonging In another Room
Put them in a basket, box, or bag.
Return Items That Belong In the Bathroom to Their Proper Places
Don't take time to reorganize the medicine or linen cabinets. Just place the items back where they belong. Leave organizing for when you have more time.
Sweep or Mop then Put Away your Supplies
Briefly sweep the floor. Worry about the main traffic area. If you have a Swiffer, Readymop, or something similar, it can take just a few seconds to mop.

Live Your Life by Design in Luxury

"What I thought most about was luxury. I had never realized before that it is more than just having things; it makes the very air feel different. And I felt different, breathing the air: relaxed, lazily, still sad but with the edge taken off the sadness. Perhaps the effect wears off in time, or perhaps you don't notice it if you are born to it, but it does seem to me that the climate of richness must always be a little dulling to the senses. Perhaps it takes the edge off joy as well as off sorrow. Live your life in comfort. Live well for your toil. Enjoy the fruits of your labor.” - Vaniado

Coco Chanel once said, “I love luxury. And luxury lies not in richness and ornateness but in the absence of vulgarity. Vulgarity is the ugliest word in our language. I stay in the game to fight it.”

How would you like to live your life?

“There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.” ― Albert Einstein
